Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds
and Scarlett Johansson have split
after two years of marriage,

The stars wed in a low-key
ceremony in Reynolds’ native
Canada in September 2008,
but their relationship has
now come to an end.
A joint statement issued
to WENN reads:
“After long and careful
consideration on both our parts,
we’ve decided to end our marriage.
We entered our relationship with
love and it’s with love and kindness
we leave it.”
“While privacy isn’t expected,
it’s certainly appreciated.”
The shock break-up comes
just months after Johansson
dedicated her Tony Award win
for Featured Actress in a Play
for A View from the Bridge
to her beau.
Accepting the honour,
she said:
“To my Canadian,
whom I live with,
Ryan thank you for becoming
a theatre widower with me.”
And Reynolds was equally
as loved up in September,
when the actor told America’s
GQ magazine his wife was
“the best part” of his life.
